- We're writing a story in third person, preferrably in the past simple. Correct: "Connor stared at the creature limping closer slowly." And not: "Connor stares at the creature limping closer slowly." We won't make a big problem out of writing in present-form, but the admins think it looks prettier . Also, incorrect writing is: "I stare(d) at the creature limping closer slowly."
- Always use " " or ' ' when your character is speaking, and actions are written as they are how you read them in fiction books. So, correct: "Hey, what do you think you're doing?" Connor asked, looking around for the creature that seemed to have magically disappeared. and not: "Hey, what do you think you're doing?" *looks around for the creature*
- Romance, we all love romance, don't we? But there's a difference between two loved ones protecting each other and four pages filled with smut. The general RPG's you'll find are all PG-13. If you want to write NC-17 stories which contains smut, you can PM one of the admins for access to the NC-17 sub-board. NC-17 does mean you have to be 17+
- To join a RPG, you must fill in a form in the OOC topic.
- Some RPG's have only a limited amount of characters needed. Don't make another form for the RPG if the amount of characters is already filled. Still want to join? Ask for approval in the OOC topic first.
- Once you've created a character, try to remain active. If it turns out you don't like the story, say so in the OOC topic. Someone else could either take over your character or we'll let him or her die.
- Are you too busy for a period of time to RP? No problem, just say you're on hiatus and someone will temporarily take over your character or we'll make sure he's in a position in which he doesn't have to do anything (for example locked up in jail? )
- Another thing about the characters, you've created your own, so play only your own character. You don't know how others are going to react to the things you do, so don't make someone else's character say or do something. He/She is not yours.
- Don't ever kill someone else's character without the permission of the owner of the character.
- The same goes for turning someone else's character. If, in a vampire RPG, you're playing a human and want him to stay one, it can be very annoying if someone else decides to turn you into one.
- You can have more than one character, but be sure to only make new characters if you're planning on using them.
- This forum allows boy x girl, girl x girl and boy x boy pairings.
